Experienced, Direct, and Genuinely Invested in the People With Whom I Work

Wherever life takes you, support should be able to meet you there.

With over 25 years experience as a licensed independent behavioral health therapist, I’ve worked with individuals, couples, and families across a wide range of life stages and challenges. My goal is simple: to help you find steadier footing and a clearer way forward—no matter you’re starting point.

A Background That Spans Real Life

My clinical experience has taken me through a variety of settings, including:

  • Public middle and high schools

  • Hospital and medical social work environments

  • Child protective services

  • College and university settings

  • Private practice since 2007

I earned my Master’s degree in Social Work from The Ohio State University and have been independently licensed in Ohio since 1995.

What that means for you is this: I understand how real-life stress shows up—in families, relationships, health, school, and work. I don’t look at problems in isolation because that’s not how life works.

What It’s Like to Work With Me

My clients appreciate my occasional sense of humor and candor in sessions as well as my gift of genuine caring.

I bring a balance of:

  • Direct, straightforward conversation

  • Practical guidance and real solutions

  • A sense of humor when it helps lighten difficult moments

  • Genuine care that shows up consistently in our work

I won’t just sit back and nod—I’ll engage with you, challenge you when needed and support you as you work toward meaningful change.

A Perspective Rooted in Respect and Hope

I believe everyone deserves access to mental health care that feels respectful, supportive, and grounded in dignity.

Part of my work is helping reduce the stigma around seeking support, because reaching out isn’t a weakness, it’s often the first step toward real change.

Even in difficult seasons of life, growth is possible.

My goal is to help you see that and experience it for yourself.

My Approach to Therapy

I believe therapy works best when you’re ready for something to shift—even if you’re not exactly sure what that looks like yet.

My role is to meet you where you are, while also helping you move forward. That means:

  • Respecting your autonomy and your pace

  • Creating space for honesty and vulnerability

  • Offering direction when you feel stuck

  • Helping you build insight and take action

This is a collaborative process and we will work through things together.

Taking the Next Step

If you’re looking for a therapist who will meet you with honesty, experience, and genuine care, I’d be glad to connect.
